Don’t stay in the sun too long, even if you’re using sunscreen. Excessive sun exposure is dangerous. Avoid being in the sun between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Do not expose babies and young children to direct sunlight. Wear protective clothing (wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, T-shirt, etc.).
