A brand that delivers vibrant color with the performance of Koleston Perfect, specially formulated to reduce the risk of developing allergies*. Featuring the revolutionary new ME+* color-forming molecule.
How does Innosense work?
1 - T cells check whether every substance that enters our body poses a potential threat, such as bacteria or viruses.
2 - When T-cell receptors bind to a potentially harmful substance, they activate the body’s immune system. However, T-cells can sometimes make a mistake: a substance is identified as dangerous and triggers an immune response even though it is harmless. This is what happens when an allergy develops in a person who was previously non-allergic, such as with dried fruit or certain cosmetics.
3 - Allergic reactions to hair dyes can sometimes be triggered in this way, mainly due to two dye molecules—para-phenylenediamine (pPD) and para-toluenediamine (pTD)—which are used for their excellent ability to cover gray hair and provide vibrancy and longevity to hair color.
4 - For more than 20 years, Wella scientists have been searching for an alternative to these molecules that would reduce the risk of developing allergies without compromising on performance and the ME+ results.
ME+ contains the component responsible for vibrancy, color retention, and coverage, but has a modified structure so that it does not activate T-cell receptors as easily—thereby reducing the risk of developing allergies*.
*Even though the risk of developing new allergies is low, other ingredients in this product may cause severe allergic reactions. If you have ever had an allergic reaction to hair dyes, including pPD and pTD, do not dye your hair. Always perform an allergy test 48 hours before each coloring. Follow the safety instructions carefully. ME+ is present in the Pure Naturals, Rich Naturals, and Deep Browns shades of the Koleston Perfect Innosense brand.
