The quintessence of the iconic fragrance signature of Life Is Beautiful, La Vie est Belle Iris Absolu pays tribute to the iris, one of the most precious ingredients in a perfumer’s palette.
With ten times the concentration of iris than the iconic Eau de Parfum, this fragrance offers a vibrant and elegant olfactory interpretation of La Vie est Belle.
This new Eau de Parfum combines a vibrant, fresh-fruity note—centered around a fig-blackcurrant accord—with the iconic Iris Pallida, the “blue gold” of perfumery, and Balinese patchouli.

"The inspiration came from the scents of the Mediterranean and the gardens of the Domaine de la Rose de Lancôme "in Grasse (…). We wanted a more natural version, with the scent of fig trees and herbal notes reminiscent of wild herbs," said Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion, perfumers and creators of Life Is Beautiful.
Lancôme supports the responsible sourcing of its ingredients from local producers.
In the heart of La Vie est Belle Iris Absolu, the Bali patchouli essential oil is eco-sourced from a sustainable and socially responsible supply chain, and the Iris pallida is grown and harvested in France.
