Run your shaving brush under warm water, or let it soak for a moment in a bowl of lukewarm water, then squeeze it gently with short, downward strokes. The brush should be damp but not soaked!
With soap: Work up a lather by using circular motions with your shaving brush on the surface of the shaving soap.
With cream: Place a small amount of cream in the center of your shaving brush, then work it into a lather on your face using small, firm circular motions.
After use: Rinse and wring out your shaving brush.
