Jicky is part of the Heritage Collection of Guerlain.
A collection of iconic fragrances, created over the past century by five generations of perfumers. These legendary fragrances, which were profoundly innovative for their time, form a unique olfactory library—an incomparable and unrivaled treasure—that Guerlain is committed to preserving.
Why the name Jicky ? Loved Guerlain cherished fond memories of a young girl named Jicky to whom he paid tribute with one of his most beautiful fragrances. As it happened, his nephew Jacques’s nickname was also Jicky.
Jicky is presented in the iconic “inverted heart” bottle. Designed in 1912 by George Chevalier as the quintessence of femininity: a subtle blend of lines and curves, with rounded, harmonious shoulders and a chiseled cap shaped like an inverted heart.
Oriental Fougère. Contrasting, dynamic, surprising. The spicy notes, which blossom upon contact with the warmth of the oriental facet, play skillfully with the fresh, aromatic heart of citrus and lavender notes. At the base of this bold composition, woody and vanilla notes emerge, lending vibrancy and character to the fragrance.
In 1889, Aimé Guerlain creates his first masterpiece Jicky. It is often referred to as the "first modern fragrance." Complex in nature, it is also the first unisex fragrance in the history of perfumery. It marks the beginning of "emotional perfumery," which no longer attempts to replicate the scent of flowers but instead seeks to evoke emotion.
FLAMMABLE.
