Issey Miyake has always sought inspiration from creative encounters.
L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme Eau de Parfum was born out of a collaboration between perfumer Sophie Labbé and Alexis Rosenfeld, founder of the 1Ocean project.
This underwater exploration project, in collaboration with UNESCO, aims to explore and document the ocean to raise awareness about its biodiversity and conservation.
This encounter inspired perfumer Sophie Labbé to create a new, intense fragrance—a tribute to the shimmering and mysterious waters of the ocean.

The spicy top notes of Sichuan pepper add texture and intensity to the signature aquatic notes of L’Eau d’Issey for Men. As the fragrance evolves, the bold complexity of balsam fir blends into the woody depths of cedarwood in the base notes, creating a very contemporary masculine scent.

A design inspired by the ocean's reflections
With its design inspired by the ocean’s intense metallic reflections, the iconic bottle of L’Eau d’Issey for Men has been reimagined for this new fragrance.
For the first time, the iconic bottle is now refillable in all retail sizes with a 150-ml refill. Simply unscrew the spray pump and screw the refill onto the bottle: the filling stops automatically when the bottle is full.
With a deep silver hue, each 100% wood cover is crafted from a single piece of wood, eliminating the need for plastic.
